With his rider off the college, Javelino has
just been sold!! He is a fantastic jumper; more recent photos to come soon. A video is also in the works. He loads
onto the trailer like a dream, and his personality is just perfect!
He needs a loving home where he will get the time and attention
he deserves. With college and the other horses at the farm, his rider just doesn't have enough time to devote to his lovebug.
He's happy being ridden or just being handled, and he doesn't need to be ridden everyday or lunged before riding.
He is currently being ridden in a french-link loose-ring snaffle
for everything (trails, flatwork, jumping). The most correction he usually needs is a half-halt if he gets excited during
jumping. He is schooling to 3'6" with ease; my standards don't go any higher!
He loves jumping, and he gets bored if he only does dressage. At first, we only worked him
on the flat. After a less-than-successful dressage show (he was extremely tense), we decided to change things up and add some
jumping. Boy, did his work ethic improve! He is happiest jumping, and he is always willing. He is capable to show him
hunters or equitation with a competent and quiet rider, but he is certainly fast enough for the jumpers! Javelino would make
a great jumping horse.
Also could be an AWESOME eventer. Did go BN double clear with his previous owner. Attractive
enough for dressage. Schooling lateral work w/t/c, his canter has improved, and with the right rider he can be a competitor
at the low to mid level dressage shows.
As previously mentioned, a video is in the making. We are trying to show him as best as possible,
and will show him being handled, loaded onto a trailer, under saddle, and at liberty.
Javelino is presently offered at $5900 USD to the best of homes. Would prefer a permanent show
home, but a loving home a must. He could also be someone's trail companion and friend for live. He was previously a companion
horse and even knew some tricks (including lay down). He works well one-on-one and non-horsey people find it easy to bond
with him. His ground manners are very forgiving. He is really a very personable horse, and we hope to find him a home
where he will get the love and attention he so greatly deserves. If you are interested, please email jadestrada@hotmail.com
